Description

An unusual and highly decorative " Hairpins " box made from solid English Oak and mounted by solid or sterling silver mounts.
Both the all-round mount and the the "Hairpins" have matching hallmarks for the highly collectible Chester assay office and for the year 1904 together with the makers mark JD over WD for James Deakin / John and William Deakin.
The interior is stunning and all original lined in a beautiful green silk in immaculate condition considering it's 106 years of age.
Excellent condition measuring 9 3/4" long x 2 1/2" deep x 1 1/2" tall.
