Description

A charming miniature playing card box with two complete sets of miniature cards (each card measuring just 1 7/8" x 1 1/4".
The box is made from English sterling silver, fully hallmarked for London 1899 together with the makers mark for the top-notch silversmith, William Comyns.
The hinged lid has a smooth slightly domed lid and the sides have repousse or embossed decoration featuring charming Cherub or Putti figures.
Excellent condition measuring 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1 7/8".
