Perfect for either a lady or gentleman, this handsome military or campagne style jewellery box is unusually made from Walnut, this type of box is typically made in Mahogany.
The rounded edges are inset with brass strappings and the top and front are inlaid with cut brass inlays.
The lid lifts to reveal a professionally refinished Burgundy interior incorporating a removable tray.
The box comes complete with the original key in working condition.
Mid Victorian in era and dating to c.1860, it remains in superb condition. 10 1/4" x 7" x 4 3/4".
