Item Ref

A fabulous oval shaped Victorian tray or salver standing on four very elegantly decorated legs. It is unusual to find a salver in this oval shape.
The side of the tray is pierced or reticulated and the base beautifully engraved and a most attractive raised border.
The underside is fully marked for Reaney Lee and Co,, Eldon Place, Sheffield. What is lovely and highly sought-after is that the back of each leg has the desirable English design registration lozenge which allows us to date the registration of this design which is 9th April 1869, mid-Victorian in era.
Excellent condition measuring 12 3/4" x 10 1/2" x 1 1/4" tall.
