rare antique asprey crocodile cased desk thermometer barometer c1910

Description

A truly exquisite find, this is an antique desk / travel combined Thermometer / Barometer dating to c.1910 from the luxury London retailer, Asprey of Bond Street.
The case is antique Crocodile skin in a lovely cognac colour with a good patina. The hinge to the back is made from English sterling silver, hallmarked with the Lion Passant, the Lion's head for London and the initials for Asprey and Co.; I can't see a date letter.
The front of the Barometer is also signed Asprey and the underside of the case is gold embossed "Asprey London".
A true gem in excellent condition measuring 3 3/4" in diameter x 1 3/8" thick. Dating to c.1910.
