Description
This a rare find, a most unusual late Victorian English tray made from silver plate with an inset blue and white ceramic base tray base.
Perfect for drinks, cakes, hors d'oeuvres; this tray is bound to the talking point when entertaining.
The silver plate is fully marked by the silversmith on the underside for the well renowned Birmingham silversmith, Deykin and Sons; this mark used between 1854 and 1895, I would date this piece to c.1870/1880.
Superb condition spanning 16" handle to handle x 11 1/2" x 3 1/2" to top of handle.
