antique english sterling silver coin purse 1913

Description

A wonderful and very elegant coin purse, made from English Sterling silver fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1913; the makers mark is also present for the silversmith, Joseph Cook & Son Ltd.
The front is decorated with engraving surrounding a vacant circular cartouche and all-over engraved decoration to the back. The purse hangs on a chain with a finger ring to the top.
The catch is in working order and once opened reveals a blue silk lined interior with three compartments..
Excellent condition measuring 4" wide x 1 3/4" x 1" excluding chain.
