Description

It's been a few years since I have had a set of these, one doesn't come across them very often any more, and this set is silver gilt (gold over sterling silver) rather than the plain silver ones I have had in past.
The little flags are used for a afternoon tea party or buffet with the faux ivory makers sliding out from the silver frames with lots of additional printed flags for use. There is ever four plain ones which can be written on; altogether 24 little faux ivory inserts.
The back of each flag frame is stamped "Made In England" with the British Registration Number 742069 ( which is for the year 1928) and the Patent No. 322313.
The silver hallmark can be found on each stick for Birmingham 1932.
All pieces fit into the original box, which is also marked with the same Patent and Registration Numbers and the manufacturer Amnora, England. The box measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Each flag measures 3" x 1 1/4". All in excellent condition with some minor rubbing to the gilt in places, mentioned purely for accuracy.
