A truly fabulous Victorian novelty inkwell made from solid cast bronze in the form of a hunting Hare holding a rifle, smothered in the original gold with a fabulous antique patina.
The hinged lid opens to reveal the ink chamber within,
Dating to c.1880 it remains in excellent condition. A good size with a base diameter measuring 5 3/4" and standing 9 1/2" tall.
