Description

A handsome English Mahogany and Beechwood Chess board consisting of two separate boards, one each side, one for Chess or Draughts, the other for French Draughts or Checkers (Jeu de Dames) which consists of a 10 x 10 pattern (100 squares). The other side is of course the more standard 8 x 8 Chess configuration.
A great board dating to c.1900 measuring overall 16" x 16" with each standard tile measuring 1 7/8" x 1 7/8". The Jeu de Dames tiles measure 1 3/4" x 1 3/4".
Excellent condition with minor marks and wear commensurate with age.
