A very elegant box in white Onyx with a flourish of Malachite sitting below the lift at the front.
The box opens to reveal the signature for the well renowned London Patentees and Makers, George Betjemann. Marked on the gilded hinge, Betjemann's Patent 449335, Made In England; the box dating to c.1920.
Excellent condition measuring 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" x 2" tall. A lovely glossy patina.
