Description
A very fine pair of small silver plated candlesticks, the perfect size for a desk or mantlepiece. Made around 1890/1900 in Paris by the top-notch silversmith, Cailar Bayard.Cailar & Bayard, 37 rue Grange-aux-Belles, Paris, founded in 1848 by Noel Cailar and Pierre Bayard. The firm closed in 1934 and was taken over by the famous Maison Christofle.
This wonderful pair are in excellent antique condition and fully marked on the exterior of the base and the underside.
