art deco silver plated biscuit box by mappin and webb c1925

Description

Just returned from our silversmith's workshop where it has been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it's former glory.
The oval box has an engine turned geometric design to both front and back; the lift to the front is also shaped in a complimentary Art Deco stepped design.
The underside is fully marked for the top-notch silversmith, Mappin and Webb of London and Sheffield under the trademark of Prince's Plate.
The box dates to c.1925, it remains in superb condition measuring 6" x 4 1/2" x 4" tall.
