stylish art deco cocktail shaker by christofle paris c1940

Description

Just returned from our silversmith's workshop where this stylish Art Deco cocktail shaker has been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it's former glory.
It's a most unusual design, similar to the Ondulations design by Luc Lanel, created for the luxury liner SS Normandie; however this is slightly different and very rarely seen; I suspect also designed by Luc Lanel.
The underside is fully marked with the Chess O/C (ORF�VRERIE CHRISTOFLE) mark and a crown mark.
Dating to c.1940, it remains in excellent condition measuring 9 1/2" tall x 4" in diameter; an impressive, large example.
