Description
A magnificent oversized French sterling silver letter / paper clip, as smart as they come to adorn the very best of desks.Made by RAVINET D'ENFERT (marked) for the French luxury goods manufacturer / retailer, Hermes, Paris, established in 1837. Most of these vintage small pieces were made in silver plate, this is unusually made in solid silver marked with the Minerva guarantee mark for 950 silver.
The front is beautifully decorated with an engine turned design surrounding a central circular vacant cartouche. The spring is strong and in perfect working order.
As good as they get in excellent condition dating to c.1960. A large heavy piece weighing 7.05 Troy Ounces / 220 Grams and an impressive size measuring 3" x 3 3/4".
