Description

A handsome large English Chess board consisting of two separate boards, one each side, one for Chess or Draughts, the other for French Draughts or Checkers (Jeu de Dames) which consists of a 10 x 10 pattern (100 squares). The other side is of course the more standard 8 x 8 Chess configuration.
A great board dating to c.1900 and an impressive large size measuring overall 19 1/2" x 19 1/2" with each standard tile measuring 2 1/8".
Excellent condition with minor marks and wear commensurate with age. I have shown it with a chess set (available separately subject to availability).
