A rather special pair of French Opera glasses, clad in Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell, with it's iridescent qualities. This pair stands out because of the addition of the decorative filigree borders, and of course, the highly sought-after extendable lorgnette handle.
Dating to c.1900, they remain in excellent condition and in full working order ready for use. While folded up, they measure 5" x 1 7/8" x 2".
