A lovely quality frame, the English sterling silver wrapping around the sides of the wooden backing and all four corners are mitred, top quality attributes.
The backing is made from solid English Oak with a two-way folding easel stand, allowing the frame to be used in both portrait and landscape configurations; always highly sought-after.
The silver is hallmarked for the highly collectable Chester assay office and struck in the year 1912, a true antiques example, over 100 years old; the makers mark is rubbed.
Excellent condition, measuring 9" x 7" x 1" with a glazed aperture measuring 7 7/8" x 5 3/4".
