Description

An impressive and outstanding inkwell, the large inkwell made from a heft piece of crystal, hand-cut on the underside.
The hinged lid is mounted with a stunning Stag head, the antlers acting as a pen rest. The inkwell sits in a silver plated stand attached to a stag horn which in turn is mounted with a plaque for The Society of Miniature Rifle Club (SMRC), illustrating the emblems of English, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. This would undoubtedly have been one of the top prizes, perhaps at the first really "National" meeting at Crystal Palace in 1903.
A truly stunning desk accessory dating to the Edwardian era remaining in superb condition measuring 10 1/4" wide x 6" deep x 7 1/2" tall.
Pen not included.
