A sensational heavy cast brass inkwell beautifully cast in the form of an Owl, retaining his wonderful original glass eyes, undamaged.
To the front are cast tree branches with foliage which act as a pen rest as can be seen in the pictures, I have included this dip pen for display.
The hinged lid is in perfect working order and opens to reveal the removable metallic ink chamber.
English in original and dating to around 1880, Victorian in era, this is a rare opportunity to acquire an adorable gem in excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" tall.
