Description
A superb pair of antique binoculars made from brass and clad in leather, meticulously and professionally cleaned and polished, restoring them to their former glory. They have integral sun shades which are pulled out manually when required.The eye pieces are engraved with the makers name and address @ 51 The Strand in London. The bridge is engraved N.R.A. for the National Rifle Association.
They are lucky enough to come with their original leather case, the lid lined in red velvet and gold embossed with the maker's name and "Opticians to the National Rifle Association" / "51 Strand London" / "25 Years at Wimbledon".
Dating to c.1920, they remain in excellent working condition; the case measures 5" x 2 3/4" x 6 1/2" tall.
