Description
A rare find, this fabulous figural desk bell was cast in metal in the form of a pig with a quality screwed construction. The mechanical bell can be would from the underside and then rung either by the snout or tail.I believe German in origin, signed on one of the legs BGM and dating to the late nineteenth century, c.1890. On another leg there is model / casting number. Retaining two original glass eyes.
Excellent working condition, measuring 6 3/4" x 3 1/4" x 3 1/2" tall.
