Description
A stunning and rare large jewellery / Jewelry box, English in origin and dating to the late Victorian era, c.1880.Made from a rich cognac coloured burl walnut veneer, my favourite timber, professionally polished. There are a couple of minor age grain cracks, shown and mentioned for accuracy; stable and insignificant.
The mounts are rare and quite special, polished brass ferns, again beautifully polished.
The interior has been professionally refinished with a fitted tray with a padded ring bank each side and various compartments in between. Beautifully finished in a rich deep green velvet.
Complete with a working (replacement) key. Excellent condition measuring 11 3/4" x 8 3/4" x 5 1/2".
