Description
A fabulous and impressively sized aluminium model of a DC-7 plane which was built by the Douglas Aircraft Company from 1953 to 1958. It was the last major piston engine-powered transport made by Douglas, being developed shortly after the earliest jet airliner—the de Havilland Comet—entered service and only a few years before the jet-powered Douglas DC-8 first flew.
This is an over-sized model with a 30" wingspan. The body of the plane shows normal casting scaring normal for these models and the stand has been newly custom made to display this masterpiece.
An excellent piece of mid-century art perfect for the office. Excellent condition measuring 27 1/2" in length x 30" wingspan x 15 1/2" tall.
