Description
A wonderful vintage solid sterling silver pill box, beautiful quality to be expected from the world renowned luxury retailer, Cartier.The lid has the large Cartier "C" logo integrated to the design. The lid is secure with a screw action required to open the box, keeping the contents secure within.
The underside is fully marked, signed "Cartier" and "925" together with the Italian silversmith/manufacturer mark 1140 MI is registered to Richemont Italia Spa (located at Via Benigno Crespi 26, Milano), registered on November 8, 1979. In the luxury goods and writing instrument markets, this mark frequently appears on solid 925 sterling silver components and limited-edition items for luxury houses.
Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier when he took over his master's jewellery workshop. Guided by his son Alfred and grandsons Louis, Pierre, and Jacques, the family grew the brand into a global luxury icon, earning the title "Jeweller of Kings" from King Edward VII.
